This service accesses publicly available video transcripts and captions. We do not host, store, or redistribute any YouTube video content. Summaries are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational purposes only.

We take your privacy seriously. Here is what data we collect and how we use it:

• Account data — You may optionally create an account using a magic link (email-based sign-in). We store your email address and subscription status. No passwords are collected.
• Browser fingerprint — We generate an anonymous browser fingerprint solely for rate-limiting purposes (5 free requests per day). This fingerprint is not linked to any personal information.
• IP address — Your IP address is used in combination with the browser fingerprint for rate limiting. It is stored only in server memory and is never persisted to disk or shared with third parties.
• Cookies — We use a single HttpOnly cookie for rate-limiting purposes and a session cookie for authenticated users. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
• Bookmarks — Guest bookmarks are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). Signed-in users' bookmarks are stored on our servers and can be exported or deleted at any time.
• Payment data — Payments are processed by Paddle.com (Merchant of Record). We do not store credit card numbers or payment details. We only store your Paddle customer ID and subscription status.
• No third-party analytics — We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party tracking services.
• Video URLs — The YouTube URLs you submit are processed in real time to generate summaries. They are not stored permanently.
• Data export & deletion — Signed-in users can export all their data as JSON or permanently delete their account and all associated data from the Profile page.

By using Summarizer.tube, you agree to the following terms:

• Service provided “as is” — This service is provided without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, availability, or uninterrupted access.
• AI-generated content — Summaries are produced by artificial intelligence and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations. You should not rely on them as a sole source of information.
• Fair use — Free users are limited to 5 requests per day. Pro subscribers receive higher limits as described on the pricing page. Attempts to circumvent rate limits (e.g., via automation, proxies, or fingerprint spoofing) may result in access being restricted.
• Subscriptions & payments — Paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record. See our Refund Policy below for details on refunds and cancellations. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Profile page.
• User responsibility — You are solely responsible for how you use the summaries generated by this service, including ensuring compliance with applicable laws and third-party rights.
• Changes to terms — We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
• Limitation of liability — To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this service.

All Summarizer.tube subscriptions are sold through Paddle.com Market Limited, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, and refunds on our behalf.

• 30-day money-back guarantee — If you are not satisfied with your initial subscription purchase, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your first payment. No questions asked.
• Subscription renewals — Renewal charges (both monthly and yearly) are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Profile page or through Paddle's subscription management portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until then.
• Yearly subscriptions — If you cancel a yearly subscription after the initial 30-day guarantee period, no prorated refund is issued for unused months. We encourage you to start with a monthly plan if you would like to try the service first.
• How to request a refund — Email us at support@summarizer.tube with your account email and a brief description of the issue, or contact Paddle Support directly. Refunds to credit/debit cards typically take 3–5 business days. PayPal refunds typically appear within 48 hours.
• Digital content acknowledgement — By subscribing, you acknowledge that the service provides immediate access to digital content (AI-powered video summaries). In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, Article 16(m)), you expressly consent to immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once you begin using the service. This does not affect the 30-day money-back guarantee described above, which we offer voluntarily.
• Exceptions — Refunds may be refused if there is evidence of fraud or abuse, including but not limited to repeated subscription-and-refund cycles, excessive use during the refund period, or chargebacks filed simultaneously with refund requests.
